FAQ

  • Students (BSc, MSc, PhD) and early-career researchers from any swiss university. You don't need to be a bioinformatics expert. We welcome ML engineers, software developers, biologists, chemists, and designers. Interdisciplinary teams win!

  • No. You can apply solo and we'll help you find teammates at the kick-off event. Teams of 3 - 5 work best.

  • Cash prizes and experimental validation!

  • Yes. Participation is completely free. Food, drinks, snacks, and compute resources are provided!

  • Laptop, charger, sleeping bag if you want to hack overnight, curiosity, and willingness to learn. We provide everything else!

  • Not necessarily. We'll run intro workshops and mentors will be available throughout the event. No matter your experience level, if you are excited about biology and ready to dive in, you will do great!
